Eating Behavior of University of A Private Institution of Northwest Paraná .

RESUMO
Objetivo: Avaliar o comportamento alimentar dos universitários ingressantes e concluintes de ambos os sexos. Metodologia: Pesquisa quantitativa, transversal, com coleta de dados primários, em que foram avaliados universitários com idade igual ou superior a 20 anos, regularmente matriculados em um Centro Universitário localizado no Noroeste do Paraná. O comportamento alimentar foi avaliado por meio do Questionário Holandês do Comportamento Alimentar. Resultados: Foram avaliados 324 universitários, em ambos os sexos a maior média de escores foi para a ingestão externa, observa-se nas mulheres a média dos escores para ingestão emocional foi maior nas concluintes, enquanto que nos homens, nota-se aumento na média de escores para a ingestão externa e redução na média de escores para ingestão restritiva, dos concluintes quando comparados com os ingressantes. Porém não se verificou diferença significativa entre as variáveis. A vida acadêmica não influenciou o comportamento alimentar dos universitários.
ABSTRACT
Objective: To evaluate the feeding behavior of freshmen students and graduates of both sexes. Methodology: quantitative, cross-sectional study, with primary data collection, they were undergraduate students aged over 20 years, enrolled in a University Center located in Northwest Paraná. Eating behavior was assessed using the Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire. Results: A total of 324 students, the results showed no significant association between the variables. The academic world has not influences the university feeding behavior, because the influence of the family is still prevalent. In both sexes the highest mean score was for external consumption, it is observed in women the average of the scores for emotional intake was higher for graduates, while in men, there is increase in the average scores for the external intake and lower average scores for restrictive intake of graduates compared to freshmen. But there was no significant difference between the variables. The academic life did not influence the feeding behavior of the university.
