Evaluation of Food Habits of Teens with Spectrum Disorder Autista
RESUMO
The Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects neurodevelopment difficulties and promotes communication, social interaction, restricted and repetitive behavior, occurring more in males. The aim of this study was to analyze and eating habits of children and adolescents with ASD aged between 02-19 years, enrolled in a special school, regular education and an association of living for people with ASD in the State of Paraná. Descriptive observational study using as an instrument to collect data, a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) and anthropometric information provided by parents and/ or guardians. Among those surveyed, 45% have addiction to feed, high consumption of breads, crackers and yogurt, contrasted with a low daily consumption of red meats and poultry having been observed. More studies related to dietary patterns of children and adolescents with autism spectrum are needed to manage their nutritional status. Recebido - 15/1/2016 Aprovado - 21/3/2016 |
