resumo
A grande preocupação com a beleza, aparência jovem e saudável da pele e do corpo tem impulsionado pesquisas por substâncias que sejam capazes de contribuírem com a estética corporal. O resveratrol atraiu atenção especial nas últimas décadas devido a estudos que mostram associação entre o consumo desse nutriente e a prevenção e terapia de doenças cardiovasculares e câncer. Nessa revisão procuramos identificar potenciais efeitos do resveratrol relacionados à estética e aliados à nutrição. Foram identificadas propriedades antioxidantes, antienvelhecimento, fotoprotetoras, anti-inflamatórias e no tratamento da acne. Os dados na literatura indicam a importância do resveratrol em varias doenças, entretanto são necessários mais estudos sobre a sua ação e atuação especificamente na estética, a fim de testar a relevância em seres humanos e contribuição real para a beleza e estética.
Abstract
The major concern with beauty, youthful and healthy skin and body has stimulated research for substances that are capable of contributing with body esthetics. Resveratrol has attracted special attention in recent decades due to studies that show an association between the consumption this nutrient and the prevention and therapy of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. This review sought to identify potential effects of resveratrol related to esthetics and allied to nutrition. Properties have been identified antioxidants, anti-aging, photoprotection, anti-inflammatory and in the treatment of acne. The data in the literature indicate the importance of resveratrol in various diseases, but more research is needed about their action and work specifically in the esthetic in order to test the relevance in humans and real contribution to the beauty and esthetics.
