Clinical and Nutritional Evolution of Patients in the Treatment for Morbid Obesity in Pre and Post Operative of Bariatric Surgery in a Public Hospital of Belem, PA

RESUMO
Introdução: O tratamento cirúrgico é o método mais eficaz e que deve ser indicado como última opção terapêutica para obesos mórbidos. Objetivo: Avaliar a evolução clínica e nutricional de pacientes no pré e pós-operatório de cirurgia bariátrica em um hospital público de Belém-Pa. Metodologia: Os dados foram coletados a partir da analise de 64 prontuários de pacientes que realizaram cirurgia bariátrica em hospital público de Belém. Resultados: A idade média era de 35 ± 8 anos, e a maioria mulheres (71,8%). Os pacientes conseguiram atingir a eutrofia após 2 anos. Em relação, as intercorrências clínicas e nutricionais observou-se que 73,4% dos pacientes apresentaram vômitos. Conclusão: A cirurgia com Bypass gastrojejunal em Y de Roux (GRBGYR), pode ser considerada um método de tratamento da obesidade que promove ao paciente perda de peso significativa logo no primeiro ano de cirurgia.
ABSTRACT
Introduction: Surgical treatment is the most effective method and should be indicated as the last treatment option for morbidly obese. Objective: To evaluate the clinical and nutritional status of patients before and after bariatric surgery in a public hospital in Belém, Pa. Methodology: Data were collected from the analysis of medical records of 64 patients who underwent bariatric surgery at a public hospital in Belem. Results: Mean age was 35±8 years, and most women (71.8 %). The patients were able to achieve normal weight after 2 years. In summary, a clinical and nutritional complication was observed that 73.4% of patients had vomiting. Conclusion: Surgery Bypass Roux-Y gastrojejunostomy (GRBGYR), can be considered a method of treating obesity that promotes the patient significant weight loss in the first year of surgery.
