O artigo teve por objetivo apresentar uma breve síntese da trajetória histórica da Nutrição - como ciência - em uma tentativa de se compreender as diferentes etapas percorridas ao longo da história do homem. Teve ainda por intuito analisar as perspectivas futuras da Nutrição e de que forma os recursos tecnológicos podem ser utilizados pela Nutrição para a identificação das necessidades nutricionais de cada indivíduo, auxiliando as demais especialidades médicas a atuar preventivamente em um número cada vez maior de patologias que, ainda hoje, interferem na qualidade de vida do homem. Acredita-se, por fim, que por meio da investigação nutricional com suporte tecnológico avançado este objetivo possa ser efetivamente alcançado.

abstract

The article had for objective to present one brief synthesis of the historical trajectory of the Nutrition - as science - in an attempt of if understanding the different stages covered to the long one of the history of the man. It had still for intention to analyze the future perspectives of the Nutrition and of that it forms the technological resources can be used by the Nutrition for the identification of the nutritional necessities of each individual, assisting the too much medical specialties preventively to act in a number each bigger time of pathology that, still today, intervene with the quality of life of the man. One gives credit, finally, that by means of the nutritional inquiry with advanced technological support this objective can effectively be reached.
